Quick Tips To Lockdown Your WordPress Admin User

Here’s a quick tip for WordPress website owners that will help reduce the chances of someone hacking into your back end.

Most WordPress managers stick with the standard “admin” account for administering their site. Sadly, this just makes things easier for malicious users to access your website’s back end.

The best way to combat this is in two steps.

Firstly, add a new administration user with an inconspicuous name that will be harder to guess. Once this is done, login as your new administrator and delete the old “admin” user.
