Kill Paralysis By Analysis!!!

I’m slowly killing this blog. Not by bad articles. Not by lack of writing. And not by lack of promotion.

No.. the problem is much more serious than that.

The Problem

I’m killing it by over analysis. A common disease (yes, more common than swine flu) and it’s rife amongst the entrepreneurial community throughout the internet: Paralysis By Analysis. And it could be killing your blog and business too.

There is no known sure fire cure for this affliction, but I have a theory.

What I’m Going To Do About It

As of today, the 16th of July 2009, I’m not going to check my statistics until the end of the month. From there, depending on how great/bad I did, I’m going to continue only checking once per month.

Shocking I know! And I’m not just going to do it for traffic stats to this blog. No, I’m taking it much further than this.

No up to the minute traffic statistics for any site, no up to the minute earnings reports, no affiliate commission reports, no adsense reports, no anything until the end of the month.

The Reason

The reasoning behind these drastic actions is that fact that paralysis by analysis is the leading cause of death for any entrepreneurial exercise.

Studies show (very scientific ones) that chances of success are highly increased when actual work is done, and over analysis of statistics and wasteful progress reports are kept to a minimum.

What You Can Do To Help The Fight!

Join me in fighting this weird (and tragic) affliction that kills the will of so many entrepreneurs world wide each year by promoting either this post in any form you see fit, or retweeting my very frustrated sounding status message on twitter. You can also pledge your allegiance below in the comments!

Together we can beat this disease that stops so many entrepreneurs succeeding in creating a business that they’re truely proud of!

Sincerely,

Josh Kohlbach
